My trip to Thailand - the land of smiles

Reminiscing on the times where I have travelled to the most uplifting of destinations, three years ago, I had the opportunity to travel to Ubon Ratchathani, the Northeastern region of Thailand. Thailand is a popular tourist destination visited by people all over the world, the country holds such beautiful landscapes, clear beaches, and a kinetic nightlife. Known as the "land of smiles", one thing that is truly bound to make you awe in wonder are the temples. On its sacred ground, Thailand houses more than 40,000 temples, with most of its population with a Buddhist. During my trip to Ubon Ratchani, my family and I got to visit the "glowing Temple" - which its name was already impressive enough. What caught my eye was the back of the temple, there cared the "tree of life" which will illuminate at night and catch the eyes of temple visitors - it is said to resemble Banyan tree which Buddha meditated under.

Tala Rodfai Ratchada - considered to be the most popular night food market in Bangkok, surely lives up to its expectations. The endless food stalls serving such rich culture through its unique aroma and mix of colour, I can say that Thailand has won my heart through its food. Food stall owners and staff are friendly and welcoming, not only through their smiles but through their dishes, as they have a dish that accommodates every diet needs; from dishes such as the Austin bush for pescetarians to  Masaman curry with beef for meat lovers and to unique cakes for sweet tooth; it is truly heartwarming.
