Trip to munich

Trip to Munich On my trip to Munich in Germany, I was thoroughly enthralled by the city’s wealthiness in centuries-old infrastructure, history as well as foods and traditions that date back to the olden days. The perfect blend of the Bavarian capital’s diverse range of activities makes it such a special city for a traveller. If you are a football fan as I am, Munich is home to the magnificent Allianz Arena stadium which hosts the biggest football club in Germany-FC Bayern München. I got the opportunity to visit the Arena and the club’s museum and I was really fascinated by the beauty of the stadium.  Munich is also known for the Oktoberfest celebration-one of the unique festivals in the world. I obviously participated in the festivities since it involved drinking a lot of beer complemented by traditional Oktoberfest foods along with a myriad of other activities such as the beer barrel roll race or the giant chess. Munich is quite a captivating place to visit- anything

Chinese culture on a plate

Image
It is said that food is a common foundation that brings people together, it is a form of language that is universal. One of the most famous places for food is the city of Hong Kong in China; the capital city that embodies its rich history and culture through the unique complexities and combinations of numerous styles and exotic cooking. Coming from a mixed Chinese background myself, the trip I took to Hong Kong last year was truly a self-discovery one I was able to plunge deep into the rich context of stories behind famous dishes, and how modern chefs were able to turn it into mass production to share this piece of China to the world. One of my most memorable food spots in Hong Kong was "Market Hotpot" a famous local Hotpot restaurant located in Mong Kok. The Interior design encaptures Chinese's (now controversial) wet market, seafood market and meat stall - which reflects the delicate treatment of ingredients as all are perfectly fresh and personally picked by the Chef

Cox’s Bazar- The world’s largest beach.

Cox’s Bazar is a city in Bangladesh with many beautiful beaches. I went there last summer with a friend of mine. I would never forget that trip. We went to two beaches: Inani beach and Laboni beach. In Inani beach there are many types of rocks, so it is a bit dangerous to swim there. So, we just sunbathed in the sand, made sandcastles and had coconut water. The sounds of the waves and the feeling of the wind against my face felt surreal. I even picked up some shells and little rocks from the sand as souvenirs. Then later that night, my friend and I did beach side barbeque of types of seafood like pom-frets and octopus. It was delicious. The next day we went to Laboni beach. The beach was a bit far from our hotel, so we took a ride there which is common in Cox’s B azar. It was called the ‘chander gaari’, it is like a big van without a roof. That was a fun ride because it felt great as we stood in the van and felt the breeze against our faces as the van was drove in the sand, ri

My Trip To France - Paris

Image
Welcome Back! On today's blog post, I would like you guys to explore the country of France! More specifically, Paris, the city of love. Paris is known for its many opportunities for individuals such as fashion and cuisine. The people there are very welcoming to tourist as they are more than happy to give directions for when you get lost. (Like me). The Effiel Tower, one of the world's most famous and recognisable landmarks is located in Paris. While being inside the tower, you will be greeted by breathtaking views of Paris and tasty dishes in their many restaurants located on numerous floors. But one of the places that will always stick with me is 'The Louvre Museum'.  The Louvre Museum The Louvre Museum is the largest museum in the world and has the most eminent pieces of artwork such as 'The Mona Lisa'. The museum displays European artwork all the way up to the Revolutions of the 1800s. Walking into the museum, you are greeted by a giant

My trip to Thailand - the land of smiles

Image
Reminiscing on the times where I have travelled to the most uplifting of destinations, three years ago, I had the opportunity to travel to Ubon Ratchathani, the Northeastern region of Thailand. Thailand is a popular tourist destination visited by people all over the world, the country holds such beautiful landscapes, clear beaches, and a kinetic nightlife. Known as the "land of smiles", one thing that is truly bound to make you awe in wonder are the temples. On its sacred ground, Thailand houses more than 40,000 temples, with most of its population with a Buddhist. During my trip to Ubon Ratchani, my family and I got to visit the "glowing Temple" - which its name was already impressive enough. What caught my eye was the back of the temple, there cared the "tree of life" which will illuminate at night and catch the eyes of temple visitors - it is said to resemble Banyan tree which Buddha meditated under. Sirindhorn Wararam Phu Prao Temple (also known a

Liverpool-A football city

Image
Liverpool- A football city On my trip to England, I went to visit the city of Liverpool and I discovered a city full of history and traditions. Liverpool is mostly renowned for the two football clubs- Liverpool FC and Everton FC- in the city which are located just about 1 km apart from each other and separated by Stanley Park. I got the opportunity to visit the Anfield stadium, home of Liverpool Football Club, one of the biggest football clubs in the world and it was an amazing experience as I am a childhood fan of ‘LFC’. Liverpool is also the birthplace of the famous Rock band, The Beatles, and the city exhibits the wealthy history of the band with memorabilia in local pubs and restaurants everywhere. I was also able to watch a football match live in the stadium and one could clearly see the exuberating passion of the population about football. The evening went on to be a mix of cheerful screams and admiration for the players as our team won the match dominantly. Later that ni
